1. Definitions

1.1 Client – The person who receives the coaching service.

1.2 Adult Client – A Client who is 18 years or older.

1.5 Gift – A Session purchased by one person for another person to receive.

1.6 Transfer – A Session purchased by one person for themselves and later transferred to another person.

2. Client Eligibility and Requirements

2.1 Adult Clients

  • An Adult Client must be 18 years or older.
  • The person booking, paying for and attending the Session must provide the required information and agree to the applicable policies.
  • The recipient of a Gift or Transfer who is 18 years or older is considered the Adult Client.
  • The Client must complete all compulsory forms and preparation requirements before the Session.

2.2 Minor Clients

  • Anyone under 18 years of age may receive coaching, subject to the requirements in this section.
  • The Legal Guardian must make or authorise the booking and payment.
  • The Legal Guardian must provide the required consent, complete and sign the Legal Guardian Consent, and agree to the applicable policies.
  • The Legal Guardian must provide proof of guardianship if requested.
  • The minor recipient of a Gift or Transfer is considered the Minor Client.
  • The Minor Client must have the Legal Guardian physically present for the entire Session.
  • For in-person coaching, the Legal Guardian must be physically present at the coaching location.
  • For online coaching, the Legal Guardian must be physically present in the same room as the Minor Client.
  • The Legal Guardian does not have to participate in the coaching but may be invited to assist if needed, including if the Minor Client becomes overcome or distressed.
  • The Minor Client remains the recipient of the coaching service. The Legal Guardian is not considered the coaching Client unless separately receiving a Session.

2.3 Client Information and Authority

The Client is responsible for ensuring that information provided for the booking is accurate and that they have the legal authority to make the booking or provide consent on behalf of a Minor Client.

3. Nature and Scope of the Service

Christine Livingstone provides Christian Lifestyle Coaching and Prayer Sessions as a Christian coaching business. Sessions may include personalised Christian lifestyle coaching, biblical guidance, prayer for healing and deliverance, and deliverance discernment where appropriate.

These services:

  • are not a ministry service;
  • are not therapy or counselling;
  • are not medical or psychological services; and
  • are not crisis or emergency support services.

No specific spiritual, emotional, financial, physical or life outcome is guaranteed. Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions and wellbeing.

Dissatisfaction with subjective results, personal expectations or the perceived effectiveness of a Session does not, by itself, constitute grounds for a refund after the Session has been delivered.

4. Booking and Payment

One-on-One Sessions are booked through the designated booking platform.

A booking is confirmed only after payment has been successfully completed through the available payment method and the booking platform has issued a booking confirmation email.

Payment alone does not guarantee an appointment if a booking confirmation email has not been issued.

If payment has been successfully completed but a booking confirmation email is not received, please contact care@christinelivingstone.com or submit a ticket as soon as possible. Please provide your name, the Session date and your payment confirmation or transaction reference, if available.

5. Booking Confirmation and Session Preparation

The booking platform will provide the booking confirmation email and appointment information to the email address supplied during booking.

Clients should check their inbox and spam or junk folder and keep the booking confirmation email for their records.

The Client must complete all compulsory preparation requirements before the Session.

These requirements may include:

  • completing the Intake Form;
  • downloading and completing the required preparation in the Session Preparation Guide; and
  • completing any other compulsory preparation instructions provided for the Session.

An optional technical setup session may also be available to assist the Client with preparing their room and technical setup before an online coaching Session. The instructions to arrange this are described in the Session Preparation Guide.

All links to guides and forms are displayed during the booking process on the booking platform.

Preparation by Christine begins on the next working day after the booking has been made and payment has been successfully completed. Preparation may include technical setup arrangements, administrative preparation, review of the Client's submitted information and spiritual preparation for the Session.

If a Client does not complete the required Intake Form and preparation, Christine may be unable to provide the Session as intended. Failure to complete compulsory preparation does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund after preparation has begun.

6. Cancellation

6.1 Client-initiated cancellation

A Client may cancel a booked Session before preparation has begun by contacting care@christinelivingstone.com or submitting a ticket.

If the cancellation is received before preparation begins, the Client will receive a refund calculated as 75% of the amount paid, with a 25% cancellation fee retained.

Any non-recoverable payment processor fees will be deducted from the refund in addition to the 25% cancellation fee.

Once preparation has begun, normal Client cancellation is no longer eligible for a refund, subject to any rights that apply under applicable law.

6.2 ChristineLivingstone.com-initiated cancellation

If Christine needs to cancel a booked Session because she is unable to provide it, the Client will be offered the choice of a full refund or rescheduling to another suitable One-on-One Session appointment within a period of 30 to 60 days.

The Client must choose between these options when the cancellation is communicated. A refund cannot be requested later after choosing to proceed with a replacement appointment.

Where a Session cannot be provided because of circumstances beyond reasonable control, reasonable efforts will be made to provide a replacement appointment. If a replacement cannot reasonably be provided, the Client will be offered an appropriate refund.

7. Rescheduling

7.1 Client-initiated rescheduling

There is no general entitlement to reschedule a booked One-on-One Session at the Client's request. Clients should therefore select their appointment carefully before completing their booking.

Where an unexpected technical failure on the Client's side prevents meaningful participation in an online Session or prevents the Client from rejoining, the Client may request one courtesy rescheduling, subject to the conditions in section 10.2.

7.2 ChristineLivingstone.com-initiated rescheduling

If Christine needs to change the date or time of a booked Session but remains able to provide the Session, the Client must decide at the time of notification whether to:

  • accept the revised appointment;
  • request a full refund; or
  • reschedule to another suitable appointment within the applicable 30 to 60 day replacement period.

If the Client chooses rescheduling, the replacement appointment must be selected within the applicable 30 to 60 day period.

If Christine is delayed, she will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client. Where reasonably practical, she will extend the Session so that the Client receives the full booked Session duration. If extending the Session is not reasonably practical, an appropriate replacement or rescheduled Session will be arranged.

8. Refunds

8.1 Client-initiated refund

Where a Client is entitled to a refund under this policy, the refund will normally be processed using the original payment method.

For a Client cancellation received before preparation begins, the refund will be calculated after retaining the 25% cancellation fee and deducting any additional non-recoverable payment processor fees.

Where applicable law permits a consumer to cancel during a statutory cooling-off period, the Client's statutory rights will apply. Where applicable law permits performance to begin before the end of such a period with the Client's consent, the consequences of early performance will be governed by applicable law.

Dissatisfaction with subjective results, personal expectations or the perceived effectiveness of a Session does not, by itself, constitute grounds for a refund after the Session has been delivered.

8.2 ChristineLivingstone.com-initiated refund

If Christine cancels a Session or is unable to provide it, the Client may choose a full refund or an applicable replacement appointment as described in sections 6.2 and 7.2.

If Christine's equipment, internet connection, power supply or other circumstances on her side prevent the Session from being delivered, the Client may choose either a full refund or rescheduling.

Where a refund is approved or required, it will normally be processed using the original payment method and will be processed promptly, subject to applicable law and the processing requirements of the payment provider.

Christine may, at her discretion, approve a full or partial refund in exceptional circumstances, even where a refund would not ordinarily be due under this policy. Each request will be considered individually. Granting an exceptional refund does not create an entitlement to a refund in another case.

9. Transfers

9.1 Gifts

A One-on-One Session may be purchased as a Gift for a named recipient.

The recipient of a Gift must meet the applicable Client eligibility requirements and complete all compulsory Intake, preparation and consent requirements before participating in the Session.

An Adult recipient is considered the Adult Client. A recipient under 18 is considered the Minor Client and is subject to the Legal Guardian requirements in section 2.2.

9.2 Transfers

A Client may transfer a purchased Session to another eligible person before the Session takes place.

A Session may be transferred once by the original purchaser. The person receiving the Transfer may not transfer the Session to another person.

Once a Session has been transferred, the original purchaser loses any right to use that Session.

Once the Transfer has been accepted and the recipient has been designated, the new recipient becomes the Client for all purposes relating to that Session, including cancellation, rescheduling, refund, attendance and Session access.

The new recipient must meet the applicable Client eligibility requirements and complete all compulsory Intake, preparation and consent requirements before participating in the Session.

10. Attendance and Session Access

10.1 Late Arrival and Missed Appointments

One-on-One Sessions begin and end at the scheduled times.

If the Client arrives late, the Session will normally still end at the scheduled time. The missed portion of the Session will not be added to the end of the appointment.

If the Client does not attend the scheduled Session and does not contact Christine, the booking is forfeited and no refund or rescheduling is provided, subject to any rights that apply under applicable law.

10.2 Technical Problems and Session Access

Clients are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, power supply and environment for participating in an online Session.

If an unexpected technical failure occurs on the Client's side during the Session, such as a power failure, internet failure or device problem, and prevents meaningful participation or rejoining, the Client may request one courtesy rescheduling.

The request must be made within 3 business days after the scheduled Session. No proof of the technical problem is required.

The courtesy rescheduling may be used once only per Client and is subject to availability. The replacement appointment must be used within 30 calendar days of the original Session. If the replacement appointment is not used within that period, no refund or cash alternative will be provided, subject to applicable law.

Reasonable efforts should first be made to reconnect and continue the Session where possible following an unexpected technical failure on the Client's side.

If a problem with the booking or video-conferencing platform affects the Session and neither the Client nor Christine is responsible, reasonable efforts will be made to reconnect. If the Session cannot be completed, it will be rescheduled where reasonably possible and will not be treated as a Client no-show.

If the online platform used for the Session changes but the Session can still take place on the confirmed date and time, the Client will be notified and provided with updated access details. A change of online platform alone does not create an entitlement to a refund or rescheduling where the Session remains available at the confirmed date and time.

10.3 Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Events beyond reasonable control may include severe weather, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, major infrastructure failures, widespread power or communication failures, or other circumstances that reasonably prevent or materially affect the delivery of a scheduled Session.

Where such circumstances affect a Session, reasonable efforts will be made to communicate with the Client and provide a suitable replacement appointment where reasonably possible. Where a replacement cannot reasonably be provided, the applicable cancellation, rescheduling or refund provisions in this policy will apply.

11. Recording of Sessions

One-on-One Sessions are recorded by Christine Livingstone for her records.

Recordings are not routinely provided to Clients and will not be distributed or published for other purposes without the Client's permission, unless disclosure is required by law.

Clients may not record the Session themselves, including by audio recording, video recording, screen recording, transcription tools or other recording methods, without prior permission from Christine Livingstone.

12. Confidentiality and Privacy

One-on-One Sessions may involve personal, private or sensitive information. Christine Livingstone will handle Client information responsibly and in accordance with the applicable Privacy and Cookie Policy and applicable law.

Confidentiality is subject to any circumstances in which disclosure is required or permitted by law.

13. Respectful Conduct

Clients are expected to communicate and behave respectfully toward Christine Livingstone.

Harassment, abusive behaviour, threatening behaviour, deliberately disruptive conduct or other serious misconduct is not permitted.

Christine may end or refuse to continue a Session where serious or repeated misconduct makes it unreasonable or unsafe to continue. Where a Session is ended because of serious or repeated misconduct by the Client, no refund or replacement Session will normally be provided, subject to any rights that apply under applicable law.

14. Good Faith Purchase and Prohibited Use

One-on-One Sessions are provided for the personal purposes described on the applicable Session information page.

Clients may not participate primarily for research, investigation, competitive intelligence, copying or reproducing Christine's material or methods, or for malicious purposes.

Christine reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a booking or Session where there is a reasonable basis to believe that the service is being used for a prohibited purpose.

15. Policy Acceptance and Updates

By completing a booking, the Client confirms that they have read and agree to this policy and the other applicable Christine Livingstone policies, terms and conditions.

The Client's electronic acceptance through the booking platform forms part of the booking agreement. A separate handwritten or digital signature is not required where electronic acceptance is legally valid.

Christine reserves the right to decline or refuse a booking for legitimate reasons, including capacity, safety, conduct, operational requirements or legal or compliance requirements.

The policy applicable to a booking will normally be the version in effect when the booking is made, unless a later change is required by law or specifically communicated to the Client.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This policy and the services provided are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any legal dispute arising from or relating to these services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
